New France Day

August 6 and 8, 2012

For the third consecutive year, we took part in the Fêtes de la Nouvelle-France. Once again, we attracted a lot of people around us from all over the world. 

We came on Thursday August 6 and Saturday August 8, 2012.

We couldn't do every day, because it demands too much of us and the parrots physically. 

On Thursday, Martine had an accident. She twisted her ankle and stretched the bottom of her foot. No longer able to stand for long or to walk, we found refuge all day on a terrace of a restaurant which allowed us to settle down with the parrots.

Saturday, second accident for Martine. A costume accessory (small period pistol) was actually a lighter  which was the provocative object of the accident. This one still had butane in it. When Martine bent down to put the parrot on a little girl, the lighter went off. Martine caught fire in front of the public  who immediately retreated. Luckily, she had the reflex to quickly put out the fire with her hands before it got back into her hair. 

Conclusion: Melted skirt, burnt shirt, 2 burns on sale and upper leg.

Festiart of Domaine Maizerets

September 1, 2012

We set up our inflatable marquee and a tent for our treasure hunt.
A grand prize worth $1,000.00 offered by our company was drawn among those on site for the event. Draw made on the main stage of the Domaine. More than 500 treasure hunt gifts were distributed. First appearance of the mascot.

Halloween at Domaine Maizerets

We participated in the Domaine Maizerets Halloween party.  At times more than an hour and a half of waiting to visit us in the Chalet Lacroix that we had decorated for the occasion.
